Star Physio Seminar - What to do if something goes wrong.

The last seminar in the Busselton Festival of Triathlon Seminar Series is by Star Physio on Thursday 17 March.  With just 6 weeks left to go, it's all about getting to the start line in the best shape possible and what to do if something doesn't go to plan.  Presented by Star Physio’s Directors, Damian Oldmeadow, Dr Merv Travers, James Debenham, these physios will share their expertise and thoughts in what to do and not to do in the lead up to the Half Ironman, followed by a Q & A session where triathletes are welcome to ask specific questions of the panel of experts.

James Debenham is a previous TWA triathlete of the year and competed in Kona in 2014. He has submitted his PhD in lower limb loading and tendon injuries and is an expert in managing injuries in triathletes. He will also be competing at Busso this year and is expected to be at the “pointy end of the field!”

Damian Oldmeadow is an Olympic Team physiotherapist who has worked with Olympic and World Champions in triathlon, duathlon and cycling. He is a professional Bikefit physiotherapist whose expertise is fitting bikes for injuries and for maximum performance specific to the sport and distance. Damian has completed 2 half Ironman events and is a previous WAIS athlete.

Dr Merv Travers is internationally recognised for his work in lower limb loading and has a passion for strength and conditioning in rehabilitation and performance. He is a previous elite Irish Rugby Player and National Junior Discus champion and has recently swapped his sport to take up triathlon and has successfully raced at Busso.
