How to support MDWA

Will you TRIUMPH over Muscular Dystrophy?

Through the generous support of Triathlon WA, Muscular Dystrophy WA is the aligned Charity Partner of the iconic SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton.

Muscular Dystrophy WA is an organisation dedicated to enriching the lives of Western Australians living with muscular dystrophy and neuromuscular conditions.

We are passionate about seeing our community as people first and enabling the things they strive to do. We approach their challenges together, bringing our youth, enthusiasm, innovation, understanding and support to create new solutions that empower full lives.

In 2017, Muscular Dystrophy WA will celebrate our 50th Anniversary and we hope the triathlon community will join the party! With your help, we hope to raise $50,000… 50 FOR 50!

Some past participants share their experiences…

2014 & 2015 Participant Craig Mueller

“When I registered for the 2014 Busso 70.3 Ironman, I wanted my effort to make a real difference.  So I decided to join the Muscular Dystrophy WA Team and raise funds. The guys at Muscular Dystrophy WA made it so easy, setting up my personal webpage on Everyday Hero to send out to all my family, friends and workmates. With all the training done, it was so rewarding to finish at Busso and know that I had raised over $1,200 for such a great cause”.

2016 Muscular Dystrophy WA Teams Challenge - Evolved Tri Club

"We had all contemplated doing the SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton, but had different racing goals later down the track. When we heard about the Muscular Dystrophy WA Club Challenge offering TWA affiliated TRI Clubs a free entry when fundraising - we were all sold. Sneaky enablers!!! It was super easy to get involved and it allowed us to be part of Busso 70.3, support our club mates heading down to tackle the distance but allowed us to keep out personal goals in check. Win-win really. The team at Muscular Dystrophy WA are amazing, always keeping in touch and giving us support too!"
