How to support MDWA

As part of the SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton event, you can raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy WA (MDWA). Put your amazing efforts towards a good cause by asking your friends, family and contacts to support you to support them.

In case you didn’t know, MDWA don’t receive any ongoing government funding. This is why they are so appreciative when people like you help to raise the dollars they need to provide Support for Life to their community, who are made up of people who unfortunately can’t participate in events such as this due to the effects their condition has on the degeneration of their muscles. To see what they do and how they support their community please take the time to watch this video and visit www.mdwa.org.au

If you do sign up, they won’t bug you too much along the way (but we can’t promise they won’t send friendly reminders and a bit of a gee up here and there) as they know your main focus needs to be on plenty of training.

By signing up to fundraise you’ll automatically go into a draw to win a really great prize AND the highest fundraiser will ride away with a full service for their bike (it’s like a birthday for your bike!) from Wembley Cycles… how cool is that?

So if this sounds like something you’d love to do – contact brianna@mdwa.org.au if you need help to get started, otherwise click here, follow the steps and Bob’s your uncle!

If you are a club that is already a member of Triathlon WA, you can get one free team entry to the event – how great is that? The only catch is that you have to commit to fundraising for MDWA for this to happen. Oh and the team that fundraises the most will receive a nifty prize pack for their club too – it’s really a no brainer isn’t it!

The crew at MDWA can’t wait to meet you and help you with your fundraising.
