QAre there age requirements?

All entrants must be 18 years of age on race day.

QAre there cut-off times for each leg of the race?

Yes there are course cut-off times for Individuals and for teams:

QAre wetsuits allowed?
A

The Triathlon Australia appointed Technical Delegate will take the water temperature 24 hours before race start and the reading will be displayed at race registration on Saturday 6 May. The water temperature will be taken again on Race Morning and the wearing of wetsuits will be conditional upon the water temperature. The Athlete Information Guide explains in details the wetsuits that can/not be worn.

QCan I buy official merchandise?
A

There will be a merchandise store as part of the IRONMAN 70.3 Busselton Expo Village.

QIs there a waiting list for the races when they are sold out?
A

Yes, we accept waitlist entries for the event please see the waitlist page under Register for all the details. CLICK HERE

QWhat age group will I race in on race day?
A

The IRONMAN World Championship, IRONMAN World Championship 70.3 and all qualifying events will implement a common rule: All age group athletes must compete in the age group division corresponding to the athlete’s age on December 31 of the year of the event.

QWhat categories are offered?

Individuals: Age Group and Pro
Teams: Corporate, Male, Female and Mixed

QWhat is the race week schedule?

The 2017 Event Schedule will be available in March 2017.  Please check the website closer to the date.

QWhat nutrition will be available on course?
A

Winners Sports Nutrition is the official Energy Bar and Energy Gel provider for IRONMAN 70.3 Busselton. Winners Sports Nutrition bars and gels is provided at aid stations on-course. Click here for nutrition information.

QWhen can I volunteer?
A

Volunteer registration will open in November 2016.  To register, just click on the volunteer link on the website.

QWhere can I find a map of the course?

QWhere do I find general race information and rules?
A

Information and rules will be included in the Athlete Information Guide (AIG). The AIG will be available online approximately one month prior to the event. 

QWho do I contact regarding race photos?
A

FinisherPix will be taking competitor photos on race day. Click Here for more information

QWill I be allowed to cross the finish line with my athlete?
A

Friends and/or family members are NOT permitted to cross the finish line or enter the finish chute with participating athletes. However, friends and/or families are encouraged to reunite with their athlete once they leave the recovery area just beyond the finish line.
